SUDA wants you for the ADSA Blood Drive!

The ADSA Blood Drive is on this September! Donations you make between the 1st and 30th of September go towards the USyd tally, and the uni with the highest percentage of dental/oral health students donating wins! So let’s get Sydney on top and save some lives in the process.

For your donations to count towards the tally, join our Red25 club here: Search for ‘SUDUA’ in the ‘Organisation or group’ search box, and fill out the form. Then book an appointment online at whichever donor centre is most convenient for you!

Why should I be a donor?
Each donation can save 3 lives! Currently only 1 in 30 people give blood, but 1 in 3 people will need blood in their lifetime. It is sometimes thought that the majority of donated blood helps those involved in accidents and emergencies. However, most of the blood is used to treat people with cancer and other serious illnesses. A single blood donation can help at least 3 different patients and contribute to making up to 22 different products (including potentially life-saving immunisations for example hepatitis B and tetanus).

Whether you give whole blood or plasma, every donation is liquid gold to those that need it so roll up your sleeves. If you are a plasma donor you can safely donate every 2 weeks! Let’s get giving.
